As a Security Officer Lobby Reception in Kankakee, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badges, and support a professional, customer-focused environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk location within a manufacturing and industrial setting.
  • Monitor visitor, vendor, and employee entry and exit activity, verify credentials, issue access materials as directed, and report unusual or suspicious activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with Allied Universal management and/or the client contact as needed.
  • Answer phones, greet arrivals, manage sign-in records, and support front desk operations while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
  • Complete routine logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and relay important information during shift changes to support consistent front desk coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
