Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the property, including common areas, entrances, exits, lobbies, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and help to enforce property rules and visitor procedures while maintaining a professional presence and assisting with routine security-related inquiries.
  • Observe building conditions and activity throughout assigned patrol areas, reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
