As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Watch in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post at a defense-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and following post orders and/or escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or visitor authorizations in support of controlled entry requirements at the location.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information with site contacts, team members, and/or local responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
