As an Armed Security Officer - Park Patrol in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and local regulations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and documenting security-related concerns in required reports.
• Communicate with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders regarding incidents, observed issues, and follow-up actions while maintaining professionalism and attention to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
