Job Description


As a Security Officer Campus Patrol Unit in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support residents and guests with outstanding customer service and communication while contributing to a caring culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $28.24 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and emergency response support when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, amenity spaces, and/or other assigned locations, assisting with visitor access procedures and reporting maintenance, policy, and/or security-related issues.
  • Support residential community operations by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to address resident and guest concerns in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
