Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed District Patrol Driver in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. This role blends professionalism, strong communication, and customer service while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the building, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, cash handling zones, and/or other sensitive locations, following post orders and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Support branch and facility operations by verifying credentials, observing customer and employee traffic patterns, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
