Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.05 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing visitors, staff, and/or residents, assisting with check-in procedures, and reporting unauthorized activity.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
