Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying access permissions and challenging unauthorized individuals in accordance with site policies and post instructions.
• Support public-facing operations by offering directions, answering general questions, and assisting with orderly movement of people during routine activities and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
