Allied Universal is Hiring a Security Shift Supervisor to work at a Tech Company located in Santa Clara

 

Pay Rate: $38.00 / Hour

 

Shifts: 

 

Tuesday - Saturday 0600-1430

Tuesday - Saturday 1400-2230

Tuesday - Saturday 2200-0630

       

Requirements:

*Active CA Guard Card 

*Active State Drivers License of 1 or more years

*Security experience of 1 or more years

*Intermediate to advanced technology skills

*Level 1 Certificate (Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force Certificate)

 

*Use of personal electronic devices while on duty is prohibited

 

 

Allied Universal® is hiring a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.

 

The EPIC Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing all security operations during evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday periods when management is not onsite for the EPIC center.

 

The Shift Lead focuses primarily on real-time incident response, team coordination, and operational continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and support on-duty security officers during after-hours shifts.
  • Monitor and manage daily security operations, ensuring adherence to post orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Conduct patrols, post checks to maintain operational readiness.
  • Document incidents, unusual activity, and significant events
  • Coordinate with the site supervisor or management when necessary.
  • Ensure seamless handoff and communication between shifts.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and directions to officers

 

Role Expectations

  • Maintain situational awareness and respond quickly to evolving issues.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and security conduct.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership under pressure.
  • Uphold all company policies, safety procedures, and site-specific requirements.

 

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between onsite officers' after-hours and the EPIC site supervisor.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Support incident response and provide guidance to officers during emergencies.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field (supervisory experience preferred).
  • 2-3 years of security or customer service experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks, training, and certifications.

 

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform building inspections, including stairwells and exterior grounds.
  • Must be available for varied shifts as required for site operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Associate’s degree of higher in any discipline
    • Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
    • Service in auxiliary police or police cadets
    • Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences
  • Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating the following:
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations
    • Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300
  • Working knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician
