Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Inspector in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, assist with directions and information, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support daily operations by completing assigned reports, maintaining an attentive presence, and following post orders and allied universal standards while interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and/or members of the public.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
