What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor visitors, staff, and deliveries entering and exiting the location, document security-related events, and report concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Support healthcare staff during escalated situations by following established response protocols, assisting with crowd control, and helping to maintain orderly operations during routine and emergency conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
