As a Security Guard Lobby Access Specialist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or access permissions, and direct tenants, guests, and vendors according to property protocols.
  • Answer phones, manage visitor logs and deliveries, and communicate with building management and/or Allied Universal personnel regarding incidents, requests, and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and support an orderly environment by maintaining an attentive presence at the front desk and following post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
