Job Description


As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Eden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and activity across the location, offering directions and assistance while helping to support a professional environment for daily operations and scheduled events.
  • Communicate with site contacts, emergency personnel, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, policy questions, and changing conditions that may require attention.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
