Job Description


As a Security Officer Clinical Patrol Associate in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and activities according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control duties by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, and/or helping to direct visitors, vendors, and staff in accordance with location procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by communicating with hospital personnel and the public, documenting incidents, and escalating security-related issues to the appropriate contacts when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
