As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Scout in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will also support tenants and visitors with strong communication and customer service while bringing teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, property-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Complete routine reports and communicate clearly with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
