As a Security Officer Patrol Sentinel in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team that values integrity and innovation.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access for personnel and/or visitors, and report security-related concerns, damaged property, and/or policy violations.
• Support shipping and receiving area awareness by observing vehicle movement, trailer activity, and high-traffic operations, while maintaining detailed and accurate security-related reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
