Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Unit in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support daily operations through clear communication, professionalism, and integrity while working as part of a caring, agile, and reliable team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence as assigned.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or incidents according to post orders.
  • Support store personnel and visitors by addressing questions, documenting security-related events, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
