This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, including outdoor areas, access points, and other assigned posts.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized entry, and/or potential hazards, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures to help to deter disruptions.
  • Support access control activities by observing incoming and outgoing vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic, verifying authorized access when required, and documenting daily activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience preferred.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
