Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $32.70 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or law enforcement when required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit platforms, stations, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and document unusual activity, incidents, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders and reporting procedures.
  • Support crowd management, assist with directing foot traffic during peak travel periods and/or service disruptions, and provide visible presence at assigned posts throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
