As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for security-related concerns, assist with access-related issues, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and/or visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders related to retail operations and after-hours checks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
