Job Description


As a Security Officer Front Desk in Charleston, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a leading financial institution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access and badges, monitor security-related activity, and provide outstanding customer service. In this stationary role, you will use communication, professionalism, and attention to detail to help support daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk location within a financial institution.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify visitor access in accordance with site policies, and assist with directing employees, guests, and/or vendors to the appropriate destination.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels when needed.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, document routine activity and/or unusual events, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and policy-based access control practices.
  • Support daily front desk operations by answering questions, coordinating with site contacts, and following established procedures for deliveries, visitor logs, and/or badge-related processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
