Job Description


As a Security Officer Juvenile Assessment Center  in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with the public, support day-to-day operations through clear communication and customer service, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values to every shift with teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas while verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
  • Support daily operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining activity logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors, teammates, and/or local authorities when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
