As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related issues. You will assist tenants, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate setting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial assistance and coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitor traffic, and monitoring deliveries and service vendor activity in accordance with location procedures.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, using Allied Universal and/or client systems as required, and communicate status updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
