Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor site activity, and support a professional, welcoming experience. In this role, you will help discourage security-related incidents through visibility, communication, and attention to detail while reflecting our values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to control authorized access to buildings, restricted areas, and/or vehicle gates.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access points to help to identify suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues.
  • Document daily activities, access events, and/or incident details in logs and reports, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or operational concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
