Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Industrial Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to alarms and service calls, and provide clear, professional communication to tenants, guests, and site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and notifying site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Control access by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card and/or armed guard license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
