As a Security Officer - Act 235 Armed Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns while providing respectful customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Using clear communication and sound judgment, you will document activities and coordinate with site teams as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with site leadership, and timely communication to appropriate public emergency services partners when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and critical assets for compliance with site policies, reporting observed violations and/or hazards through established channels.
• Complete detailed documentation of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and participate in shift briefings and handoffs to support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess Act 235 qualification Pennsylvania only.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
