As a Security Officer - Routine Patrol in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will provide unarmed, security-related support through routine patrols, visible presence, and clear communication with staff and visitors. You will help identify unusual activity, document observations, and respond to incidents while delivering customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, yards, parking areas, trailer rows, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, control visitor entry, and support employee and driver check-in processes in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate and assisting with evacuation and accountability steps as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol findings, and access activity, and utilize radios, phones, and/or surveillance systems to communicate observations and follow escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
