Job Description


As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Response Driver in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting medical, clinical, and/or law enforcement assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and wayfinding, and verify credentials, badges, and/or visitor approvals in accordance with site protocols.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital: Vaccines are required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
