You will conduct routine vehicle and on-foot patrols across campus areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations clearly. You will build trust through strong customer service, communication, and professionalism while living our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disruptive behavior, medical calls, and/or fire and severe weather events as directed by post orders.
  • Maintain a visible, professional armed presence in accordance with Allied Universal standards, applicable laws, and site requirements, including proper firearm handling, weapon retention awareness, and required documentation.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed, and support investigations by observing, documenting, and preserving relevant information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
