As a Security Officer - Flex Driving Role Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will help maintain an inviting environment through highly visible patrols and frequent vehicle patrols, responding to calls, documenting security-related incidents, and assisting customers and staff with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and/or mall location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related hazards, completing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate shift logs.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, observing customer and associate activity, and providing guidance on access control and closing and/or opening procedures as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
