Job Description


As a Security Officer - Driving Role Facility Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine patrols across the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist with access control and visitor interactions, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, disturbances, and medical or fire-related calls, and notify appropriate contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or contractor authorization, and monitoring vehicle and delivery traffic in accordance with site rules.
  • Complete written and electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handovers, and communicate unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
