As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and escalating concerns when needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, badge and/or credential checks, and delivery or contractor entry processes in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifying appropriate staff, and/or requesting emergency services as needed.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and notable conditions in reports and logs, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
  • Vaccines are required for hospital roles.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
