As a Security Officer - Part-Time Courtesy Patrol in Florence, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control needs, support badge processes, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor access points and building systems, including visitor check-in, badge verification, CCTV, alarms, and/or dispatch communications, and document irregular activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and notify appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas and exterior perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, open doors, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs, including shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
