As a Security Officer - Gate Entry Driver in Seadrift, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location in an access control role where you help manage site entry and exit, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and document activity using site systems. You will maintain a visible presence at checkpoints, communicate clearly with operations teams, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, including verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by monitoring credentialed access, managing visitor logs, and coordinating approvals for contractors, deliveries, and scheduled appointments.
  • Support facility operations in a chemical and petrochemical location by screening packages and vehicles as permitted by post orders, documenting findings, and reporting irregularities through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site notifications, supporting evacuations when directed, and completing timely incident reports.
  • Conduct security-related monitoring using cameras, access control systems, radios, and/or alarms, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts to help to deter unauthorized access and disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
