As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist customers and staff with professionalism, clear communication, and strong report writing. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, team members, and shoppers by following site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed and escalating per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, receiving areas, and perimeter and/or parking areas as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for unusual activity and policy violations that may impact operations, helping to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct through high-visibility presence and professional communication.
• Complete incident reports and shift logs, document observations accurately, and communicate security-related information to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and public response personnel when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
