As an Access Control Security Officer at an automotive location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge issuance and visitor check-in, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at an automotive location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing badges and/or passes as directed, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, docks, and designated access points, helping to deter unauthorized entry through consistent screening and observation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting events per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
