Job Description


As a Security Officer -Unarmed Approval Access in Riviera Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community where you will help manage access control at entrances, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and document visitor activity. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with residents, staff, and responders. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying resident credentials, screening visitors and vendors, issuing temporary passes when authorized, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
  • Monitor cameras, intercom systems, and access control equipment, reporting malfunctions and/or unusual activity according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying the appropriate contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
