Job Description


As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol Specialist in Dorchester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to needs as they arise, document activity, and deliver clear, professional communication and customer service. Candidate will cover locations within 25 Miles of Boston and in the Boston area.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed, regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, offices, ATMs, drive-up areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying identification as required, directing foot traffic, and reporting access issues through site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site contacts and local emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years’ armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
