As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Jamaica Plain, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will support access control and incident reporting while delivering helpful customer service and clear communication. Candidate will cover locations within 25 Miles of Boston and in the Boston area.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and maintaining required logs and reports.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, and duress notifications, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
