Job Description


As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access and perimeter checks. Bring clear communication, strong customer service, and teamwork as you document observations and respond to concerns with integrity, reliability, and an agile, innovative approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and designated restricted areas; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization per site procedures and maintain required entry and exit documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with on-site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete timely patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs; report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
