Job Description


As a Security Officer - Convention Center Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a resort and hotel location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas and back-of-house spaces, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access control practices, and security-related protocols at a hotel and resort location, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, suspicious activity, medical calls, and/or property-related concerns, and communicate updates to site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, hallways, parking areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor assigned areas for policy compliance, support orderly guest traffic flow during peak check-in and event periods, and assist with lost and found and/or guest service requests as directed.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, and use radios, phones, and/or other systems to coordinate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
