As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Champaign, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will complete routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support teams and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas, common spaces, building exteriors, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access issues.
• Monitor access points and technology-focused work areas for unusual conditions, report concerns to the appropriate contacts, and document activities in required logs and/or systems.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with crowd control, and/or supporting first responders as directed.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, communicating observations and follow-up needs to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
