Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with professionalism, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document observations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and coordinate with site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using verbal de-escalation and other approved techniques, and requesting assistance when appropriate.
  • Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, complete required logs and incident reports, and communicate timely updates to supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have a current armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
