As a Security Officer - Front Desk Reception in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing a welcoming presence while supporting security-related access control, badge and visitor check-in, and clear communication with clinical teams. You will document activity and respond to incidents with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific policies, completing required security-related procedures, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff; manage check-in processes, issue visitor badges, and direct individuals to appropriate departments while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas using approved tools such as cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems; document observations and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel, request assistance, and/or coordinate response actions as directed.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation; communicate key information to oncoming shifts and hospital leadership per site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
