As a Security Officer Armed-FrontDesk Driver Security Clearance in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will greet visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and monitor cameras and alarms to help identify security-related concerns. This is an armed, driving-required post, supporting a professional environment through clear communication, detailed reporting, and calm response to incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at a government facility front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at entry points by greeting and directing employees, visitors, and vendors; verifying identification and/or appointments; and issuing visitor credentials per site policy.
  • Monitor lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras, intercoms, and/or alarm panels, and communicate concerns to site contacts in a timely manner to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes when possible and requesting assistance from supervisors and/or public services as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports; maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Maintain an active DoD Confidential clearance.
  • Possess 1 or more year of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
