As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with courteous customer service. You will monitor assigned areas, report concerns, and communicate clearly with your team while using Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach and acting with integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, building interiors, and/or parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, damage, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, including checking credentials, documenting entries, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, requesting emergency services when needed, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incidents, and/or unusual observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or on-site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
