As a Security Officer - Flex Facility Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with courteous service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific policies and completing required security-related documentation and/or reports.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Monitor access points and key locations for unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, taking appropriate actions consistent with post orders.
  • Assist with emergency response activities such as evacuations and/or shelter-in-place procedures, providing direction to occupants and supporting incident coordination as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
