Job Description


As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced automotive location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badging at key entry points. You will use clear communication, provide customer-focused assistance, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting Allied Universal management and/or local emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of automotive facilities, parking areas, delivery lanes and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle flow, verify credentials and/or appointments when applicable, and help to deter unauthorized entry or restricted-area access.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports including daily activity, incident documentation and maintenance concerns observed during patrols, and communicate key updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
