Job Description


As a Security Officer - Roving Property Patrol in Chandler, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, while reporting concerns and working as part of a team that acts with integrity, stays agile, and puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorization as directed, and assist with directing traffic and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and/or service calls, and promptly notify site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Complete detailed reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or turnover to support consistent site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
