As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication with site staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarm panels, and intrusion notifications, and report irregular conditions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and/or unauthorized access attempts, and escalate to site leadership and/or public responders as required.
  • Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate pass-downs to incoming officers, and support adherence to client site procedures regarding badges, visitor processing, and property movement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
